Today I dragged my best good friend, Stephanie, to the RT Booklovers Convention in downtown New Orleans just so I could harass my favorite authors into signing my books….and it was AWESOME!!! I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was wall to wall booknerds who were fangirling just like me. Anyway, I wanted to share the pictures I took and the inscriptions I received. Every single one of these women were sincere, funny and happy to be there. Oh and not to mention TALENTED AS ALL GET OUT!
Ps. I wore my Out of Print Library Stamp shirt and got compliments from just about all of the authors. So, I think that was a win 🙂
Leigh Bardugo, author of the Grisha Trilogy. She totally remembered my blog name. I was thrilled, to say the least.
“Steel is earned”
Beth Revis, author of Across the Universe trilogy. She was so fun to meet and graciously laughed when I said, “Thanks for this *points at trilogy* trip…across the universe.” I did apologize for said terrible pun but she laughed and kept signing.
“Reach for the stars”
“Find your home”
Gayle Forman was so incredible. She loved that I had the “old school” hardback of If I Stay. She said it’s like a badge letting her know I’ve been here since the start. Pretty cool stuff!
“All. The. Feels. Old-School”
M. G. Buehrlen was too cool! She had “Talk nerdy to me” stickers which prompted a mini-convo about Target and whether or not they still sold a canvas with the same saying. It was fun.
Stephanie Perkins was so cute and charming. She marked through the “a” in Anna and wrote in “ette”…I was like, “Awwww that’s so awesome!” Her books are fantastic and no wonder… so is she!
“Never stop wishing on stars”
“Always, always, always be yourself”
Erin Bowman was the first author I met today. She was so kind and even though I was nervous, she made me feel right at home.
“Stay warm reading this sequel! So nice to meet you at RT NOLA!”
April Tucholke was a surprise for me. I didn’t know she’d be there today and I’ve had her book on my TBR list since its release. She was so awesome.
She made her “A” look like a devil…how clever!
