The long and short of it…Stephanie Perkins has a knack for turning you into a pile of feels.

Lola is a spunky 17-year-old with a killer wardrobe, she has a punk rock boyfriend, a side-kick bff and guess who has moved back home? Yep, you guessed it, the boy next door…along with the girl next door. Lola’s nemesis Calliope {she’s a super bitch} and her “unfinished business” Cricket {he’s just…great} have moved back home thus turning Lola’s world upside down and inside out.

Yes, this book follows the romantic comedy outline. Yes, this book is predictable. But you know what? Who cares. It’s fun and funny and you can’t help but fall in love with all of it. Stephanie Perkins did it with Anna and the French Kiss and she’s done it again with Lola and the Boy Next Door…she turned this 30 something girl into a giddy school girl. OH! Also, Anna and St. Clair are in this novel…I was so happy when I realized they were incorporated. I secretly was loving their continued story.

If you want a light-hearted read that will give you the feels, a read with a likeable characters, a read that makes you want to grab some glitter and a wig and go rock a killer dress… then this book is for you!
